Fearnalls Sponsors Local Buyer Jack Unwin in Ironman Tallinn 2025

Fearnalls Estate Agents are sponsoring local man, Jack Unwin, one of our recent buyers, as he takes on the formidable challenge of completing a full-distance Ironman triathlon in Tallinn, Estonia on 23rd August 2025.

Jack is raising money for two outstanding causes: Alzheimer’s Research UK and Manchester Women’s Aid, and we’re delighted to support him on this incredible journey.

We first met Jack when he came to view one of the properties we were selling. Amid conversations about square footage and mortgages, Jack casually mentioned his Ironman ambitions. We thought he was slightly mad – juggling a demanding job, buying a house, and squeezing in up to 14 hours of training a week! We were instantly inspired.

The Ironman Tallinn 2025

The IRONMAN Tallinn is no ordinary challenge. As part of a late summer triathlon festival in Estonia’s beautiful capital, it includes:

  • A 3.8km swim at Stroomi beach
  • A 180km bike ride through city and countryside
  • A 42.2km run along the coast of Tallinn Bay

The course winds through the natural beauty of Harju County, with Tallinn’s historic architecture and modern culture providing a dramatic backdrop.

Drive and determination

So why is Jack doing it? “I signed up to do an Ironman because I had some severe hip and back issues a few years ago which stopped me from running and cycling completely. Having recovered, I wanted to see if I could push myself further than ever before.”

That drive and determination struck a chord with us. We know what it means to stay focused on the goal, whether that’s crossing the finish line or completing a house move.

Despite overseas work trips and a packed schedule, Jack has been rising at 6am to train, proving that commitment is everything. His passion for giving back is just as strong.

“I chose Alzheimer’s Research UK because it was the first charity I ever raised money for at 16, and Manchester Women’s Aid because I wanted to support something local.”

Cheering Jack on

We’ll be following Jack’s Ironman journey closely and wish him the very best for race day. If you’d like to support Jack’s fundraising, keep an eye on our social media for donation links and updates on his training.

Good luck, Jack!  You’ve already inspired us. We’re cheering for you all the way!
